On the closing date of the application process, you must have:
A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma and, after having obtained the university degree, at least 3 years of proven professional experience.
Your Qualifications and Experience
1. It is essential that your professional history cover the following areas
- A university degree in Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance/financial management, or Law.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in financial verification as a Financial Verifying Agent to ensure adherence with the EU Financial Regulations.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in providing strategic financial expertise to Procurement, Contracts and technical teams and the Authorising Officer.
- Solid working experience of the EU/F4E Financial Regulations and of EU/F4E public procurement good practices.
2. Advantageous Selection Criteria
In addition to the above, the proven experience in the following fields will be considered an asset:
- EU budgetary and accounting procedures
- Financial management of complex or large-scale contracts
- FIDIC contracts
- Asset management
- Working experience of relevant electronic tools (SUMMA, ABAC, DACC, Ecosys, Primavera).
3. Competencies
The following competences will also be assessed:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Collaborative and supportive attitude, ability to work across all functions within the Agency
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in processes
- Experience of successfully promoting a culture of sound financial management.

Fusion for Energy (F4E) is the European Union’s organisation for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy. We are working with industry and laboratories to deliver cutting-edge components to the ITER international fusion energy project. In parallel, we are working on other major projects in the same domain, including the JT-60SA experiment with Japan, a new material testing facility (DONES), and, in the long-term, preparing for the next generation of fusion devices.
