Target audience
We are looking for a Project Officer Cyberspace Operations.
Under the supervision of the Head of Unit Information Superiority, the jobholder will be responsible for the following activities:
- develop proposals to meet the Cyber Defence (CD) objectives defined in the Capability Development Plan, EU Defence/Security Policy documents (e.g. EU Joint Policy on Cyber Defence);
- contribute to the analysis, planning, and implementation of Cyber Defence capabilities across the European Union defence ecosystem using the DOTMPLFI framework (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Personnel, Leadership, Facilities, and Interoperability);
- support the development of cyber defence specialists across all work roles;
- assess the CD operations implications of any EU initiative (e.g. European Defence Fund, Defence Readiness Roadmap 2030);
- proactively follow cyber warfare capability development (particularly national and multinational CD operations initiatives) to identify capability gaps and develop military requirements;
- propose initiatives and projects, in close connection with participating Member States of the EDA (pMS) through the
Capability Expert Group (CEG) Cyber Defence and other EDA forums as appropriate, to address cyberspace related issues; - support the CEG Cyber Defence on Cyber Warfare and Cyberspace operationsrelated initiatives, workshops and seminars to meet objectives within the Cyber Defence Programme;
- prepare calls and tenders in light of planned and emerging funding budgets;
- take on additional tasks as required in the interest of the service.
Duties may evolve according to the development of EDA’s structure and activities, and the decisions of EDA management.
