Target audience

As a member of the Project Management Department of 'Fusion for Energy', the PPM Officer will support and report to the PPM Head of Unit (PPM HoU) in his/her accountability to achieve time, cost and performance objectives and coordination of tasks within the PPM Unit. The PPM Officer will also be expected to play an active role in implementing and ensuring daily application of world-class project management processes within F4E.

The successful candidate will perform, amongst other tasks:

As a main (or primary) role:

  • Coordinate other PPM unit team members tasks on project management topics: cost, schedule, risk, and communications plan according to a specific role assigned by the PPM HoU;
  • Enable the PPM HoU in interfacing with Programme Managers (PGMs) and Project Managers (PJMs) on PPM matters according to the needs;
  • Enable the PPM HoU on specific tasks that contribute to the development of the PPM team and the PM services offered;
  • Support the PPM HoU to coordinate best practice sharing within project management community, including feedback and lessons learned, thereby contributing to the promotion and development of an improved project management culture in F4E generally and in particular within the supported project team.

Additional Tasks (depending on the needs of the Unit):

  • Support the Program Manager (PGM) in his/her accountability to achieve time, cost and performance objectives by identifying deviations from project baseline, proposing preventative/corrective actions and by ensuring their follow up;
  • Monitor status, act on deviations, analyse, propose, and drive solutions on:

a/ Cost and Estimate At Completion;

b/ Schedule [e.g. activities, milestones, baselines and critical path];

c/ Work progress;

d/ Risks and opportunities;

e/ PPM actions triggered both internally and externally.

  • Define and coordinate the associated project management status reports: dashboards, KPIs;
  • Support cost, schedule and objectives cascading by ensuring appropriate awareness by all team members;
  • Monthly updates of projects schedules and budget/cost by using F4E tools;
  • Prepare, assess, and follow up of projects changes according to the F4E rules and procedures.
