Target audience

Transparency Department of the European Medicines Agency is recruiting two head of services:

 

-    Head of Access to Documents Service 
-    Head of Clinical Data Publication Service 

 

The Access to Documents Service centralises all requests to access documents (AtD) received at EMA and manages them inline with Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, triages all requests for information (RFI) received at EMA, centralises and manages all third-party consultations related to AtD submitted to external parties, is consulted on an ad-hoc basis by colleagues within EMA to advise on identification of Commercially Confidential Information (CCI) and risk of re-identification of individuals.

 

The Clinical Data Publication Service manages the pro-active publication of Clinical data inline with EMA Policy 0070 and plays an active advisory role on anonymisation of personal data and identification of Commercially Confidential Information (CCI) throughout the Agency.

 

Transparency is key to the functioning of EMA and as Head of Access to Documents Service or Head of Clinical Data Publication Service you will be an active contributor to transparency.

 

Both positions within the Transparency Department will require to manage a team of 10 to 20 staff members from various backgrounds and report to the Head of Department.

  • Be responsible for the management of activities related to access to documents and request for information at EMA or publication of Clinical data at EMA;
  • Manage and lead a large team in view of delivering with high quality standards and in line with the Agency’s legal obligations;  
  • Implement service-specific tasks, in alignment with the strategic objectives of the department and division, to achieve Agency goals;
  • Ensure that all associated activities are conducted in accordance with organisational policies and processes; 
  • Manage the development of the Service staff members; 
  • Participate in developing transparency initiatives.
