Target audience

We are looking for a highly skilled, autonomous and enthusiastic HR professional to join our HR team. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and dedicated HR Unit covering the full spectrum of HR activities and will have opportunity for professional development and growth.

Under the supervision of the Head of HR Unit, the jobholder will contribute to the smooth running of the day-to-day HR operations, covering relevant administrative functions and duties along the employee lifecycle. Overall, the jobholder will provide support and contribute to the correct and effective implementation of HR processes, in accordance with EDA procedures and regulations and towards the achievement of the Agency's objectives.

More specifically, the HR Assistant will be responsible for/contribute to the following activities:

Staff entitlements and time management

  • inform and assist staff in administrative and practical issues relating to their installation such as privileges and immunities;
     
  • support the administration of rights and obligations, such as leave management and EDA’s public transport contribution scheme;
     
  • prepare documents related to staff protocol matters (i.e. Special ID cards), VAT exemption requests and certificates for various purposes;
     
  • support in the preparation of decisions relating to individual rights throughout the employee lifecycle (grading, indemnities, allowances, salary, severance grants).

Career management

  • monitor processes linked to probation period and contract renewal of staff members, as well as the annual appraisal process.

Talent acquisition

  • contribute to the availability of human capital by providing organisational and administrative support related to selection procedures, including participation in selection panels.

Financial Operations

  • act as operational initiator or verifier for financial procedures linked to HR activities (i.e. reimbursement of travel expenses and public transport).

The jobholder may need to take on additional tasks as required in the interest of the service.

Duties may evolve according to the development of EDA’s structure and activities, and the decisions of EDA management.
