EDA is looking for Industrial Security and Security Policy Officer.
Under the supervision of the Head of Security Unit, the jobholder will manage the following activities:
- Implement the guidelines on industrial security outlining the requirements concerning Facility Security Clearance (FSC), Security Aspects Letter (SAL) and Security Classification Guide (SCG), Requests for Visit (RfV), and exchange of EUCI in EDA’s classified projects.
- Contribute to the drafting of tender specifications, security clauses in classified contracts and verify contractor compliance with classified information handling and facility security clearance (FSC) requirements.
- Communicate and liaise with relevant National Security Authorities (NSAs) and Security Officers of stakeholders concerning EDA classified contracts/grants.
- Provide guidance and assistance to internal stakeholders on the application of security rules, policies and instructions in EDA classified projects, including the indirect management of EU funds (e.g. EDF) projects, and their amendments.
- Contribute to the drafting and update of security-related policies, rules and procedures, in close cooperation with the other team members and relevant Units.
- Draft and review internal security instructions and guidelines for EU Classified Information (EUCI) management, Security Operating Procedures (SecOPs) pursuant to the security requirements set up in the Council Decision 2013/488 (CSR).
- Provide training on EUCI handling, industrial security - including EU funded programmes - and assist with the organisation of security awareness for internal stakeholders, to ensure compliance with the security rules.
- Maintain close coordination with all relevant external security stakeholders (from NSAs and other EUIBs) including industry consortia.
- Represent EDA Security at relevant internal/external meetings.
- Closely cooperate with the other team members. Be familiar with their tasks in order to be able to mutually assist and replace when necessary.
- Take up other duties as requested in the interest of the service.
Duties may evolve according to development of the EDA's structure and activities, and the decisions of EDA management.
