On 1 March, the Chairmanship of the Network of EU Agencies (EUAN) officially passed from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to Frontex at a handover meeting held in Frontex’s headquarters in Warsaw.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 March, which celebrates the movement for women’s rights, more than 40 EU Agencies and Joint Undertakings unite with a common declaration against sexual harassment in the workplace
The Heads of the Network of Agencies came together on 5-7 July at EFSA’s headquarters in Parma, Italy, to discuss common strategic initiatives. In particular, they looked into more efficient ways of working together to provide greater value for European citizens.
12 EU Agencies were nominated, 3 shortlisted and 3 handed a prestigious Award during the European Ombudsman Award in Brussels on 29 March 2017.
As of March 2 2017 the European Food Safety Authority based in Parma, Italy, assumed the chairmanship of the EU Network of Agencies.
The 2023-2024 Work Programme will guide the work of the EUAN during the chairing role of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA).

On 25-26th of September, the EU’s Justice and Home Affairs Agencies (JHAA) will gather for the 3rd Network Meeting in 2019, hosted by Europol, current chair of the network in 2019.
