Project Manager - A2 - SatCen/2024/040

The SatCen is seeking suitable candidates to cover the position of Project Manager and to establish a reserve list for the position. Responsible to the Head of the Copernicus Unit, the Project Manager will perform, amongst others, the following duties: 

Job description:

• Manages and implements Copernicus SESA Service activities as assigned by the Responsible for the SESA Service; 

• Manages available resources and contracts with the industry from the technical, administrative and financial point of view; 

• Prepares SESA and its related activities’ Invitations to Tender (ITTs) technical specifications as assigned by the Responsible for the SESA Service;

• Contributes to reporting/programmatic/strategic documents; 

• Supports cooperation activities of the Division with entities such as the European Commission (EC) or the European Space Agency (ESA) or European Defence Agency (EDA); 

• Coordinates with other Divisions at SatCen and liaises with external stakeholders as needed by all the tasks assigned to the post; 

• Undertake additional duties, appropriate to the grade, as directed by the Head of the Copernicus Unit or by the Head of Division; 

• Gathers, analyses and reports User requirements for an EU EO Governmental Service (EOGS); 

• Contributes to the definition of implementation of an EO Governmental Service; 

• Participates to test the EOGS Pilot.
