Senior Media Officer Spokesperson

Reporting to the Head of Media and Public Relations Office the Senior Media Officer - Spokesperson:

➢ Serves as the official spokesperson for the Agency, representing it in public-facing interactions, especially towards the media;

➢ Ensures the Agency’s objectives are met by communicating with the media;

➢ Creates and delivers consistent messaging that aligns with the Agency’s values, goals as well as Frontex initiatives and successes;

➢ Ensures that Frontex is accurately represented in the media by monitoring news stories and contacting journalists as needed, both proactively and reactively;

➢ Manages media relations, including responding to inquiries, drafting press releases, and securing media opportunities;

➢ Contributes to Frontex social media presence (specifically on Twitter and LinkedIn) to promote the Agency’s message, in line with Executive Management’s vision;

➢ Develops and delivers key messages and presentations for external audiences;

➢ Drafts Talking Points and Key Messages;

➢ Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including executives and senior leaders, to ensure messaging is aligned with the Agency’s communication strategy.
