Job Purpose

Sustainable Finance Expert

The successful candidate will be a member of the Conduct of Business Oversight Team within the Consumer Protection Department. The sustainable finance expert will assist the Team Leader with a project aimed at increasing supervisory capacity to prevent and mitigate greenwashing within the insurance sector. 

Main Responsibilities

• steer the project by providing advice and expertise on sustainable finance and greenwashing aspects;
• develop supervisory tools to identify and tackle greenwashing in the insurance sector, including indicators and/or methodologies to identify products which carry higher greenwashing risks;
• liaise with other ESAs, the European Commission;
• facilitate interaction with Beneficiary Member States;
• organise supervisory workshops as well as training sessions (agenda, material, follow-surveys and meetings, etc.); 
• draft reports outlining the progress of the project, throughout its implementation;
• organise internal project meetings;
• any other task related to the organisation of the project and follow-up work.
