How does recruitment work?

12.000 staff members are already working in Agencies/JUs

Vacancy notices are published on the website of each Agency, in the section Job Opportunities of this website, on the EPSO website, and on other platforms chosen by Agencies. Please consult these sources to directly access each vacancy notice.

Agencies/JUs conduct a structured recruitment process to select candidates that best match the requirements of the vacant post.

You will find the following types of jobs and contracts in EU Agencies and Joint Undertakings:

Permanent Officials

Permanent officials shall be classified, according to the nature and importance of the duties to which they relate, in an administrators´ function group, an assistants´ function group and a secretaries and clerks´ function group. Permanent contracts at EU Agencies/JUs can also be awarded after an open competition procedure. EPSO rules are to be followed for permanent positions.
