Agencies/JUs cooperate with national institutions to enhance cooperation with Member States
Seconded National Experts programmes aim to enhance and develop the relationship between national institutions throughout EU Member States. Seconded National Experts remain in the service of their employer throughout the period of secondment and continue to be paid by that employer. The secondment duration is for full time employment and is generally 6 to 24 months (to be agreed between the current employer and the Agency/JU). The secondment may be renewed up to a maximum duration, depending on each Agency.
